In the jungle

Yoyo the monkey swung from a low tree branch at the edge of a wide, sunny field. He loved the jungle, but today the open field looked like a giant green carpet waiting for an adventure.

Nao the turtle slowly waddled beside him, her shell shining in the warm light. "Let’s explore the field," she said. "Maybe we’ll find something special hidden in the tall grass."

High above them, Toto the parrot circled and squawked, "Adventure! Adventure in the field!" His bright feathers flashed like tiny rainbows as he swooped down to join his friends.

The three friends stepped into the field, where the grass brushed against Nao’s shell and tickled Yoyo’s toes. Toto flew just above them, acting like a feathery lookout.

Soon they heard a rustling sound. Yoyo froze, Nao tucked her head halfway into her shell, and Toto landed on a nearby rock, watching carefully.

Out hopped a tiny field mouse, carrying a crumb of bread bigger than its head. "Hello!" squeaked the mouse. "I’m trying to take this home, but it keeps getting stuck in the grass. Can you help me?"

Yoyo grinned and gently picked up the crumb. Nao led the way slowly so no one would trip, and Toto flew ahead, calling, "This way, tiny house! This way!"

They followed the mouse to a cozy hole near some flowers at the far end of the field. Together they slid the crumb inside, and the mouse's family squeaked happily.

As the sun began to set, the field glowed gold and orange. Yoyo, Nao, and Toto sat together, proud they had turned a simple walk in the field into a kind and brave adventure.

The jungle is fun," Yoyo said, "but the field has its own magic too." Nao nodded, Toto squawked in agreement, and they headed home, ready for whatever tomorrow’s adventure would be.
