Pip Reads Food

Pip and Niko sit by the lake. Pip rubs his tummy. Niko points to a sign: FOOD.

Pip says, “F-f-food.” Niko smiles. “Food is here.”

They see crumbs by the picnic table. Pip can see food. A leaf gives a little shake.

“Look here,” says Niko. “Look there,” says Pip. They follow the crumbs around the lake.

Under the table is a cute chipmunk with one red berry. Pip grins and says, “I can read!”
