Pip at the Dock

Here is Pip. Pip and Niko stand on the dock by the lake. A big sign says, “SEE BOAT HERE.”

Pip points. “See the boat,” says Niko. “See the boat,” says Pip.

Here is Pip. He reads, “here,” and he reads, “see.” There is a paw sign by a rope.

A soft mew comes from a small boat. Pip does not shake the boat. Niko points to a sign: “NO FOOD HERE.”

There, curled up safe, is a cute kitten. Pip smiles at the lake and the signs. “I can read!”
