Pip and Niko sit by the lake. A sign says SEE, with a big eye picture. “See it here,” says Niko.
Pip hears, “Hoo! Hoo!” The leaves shake. A sign says TREE, with a tree picture. “Look there,” says Niko.
Pip reads, “There.” He sees a feather picture clue. “Look there,” says Pip. “See it here!”
By the shade tree, a sign says FOOD, with a nut picture. A little owl blinks on a low branch. It is cute and kind.
Pip smiles at Niko. The owl says, “Hoo!” Pip claps. “I can read!”
