A long time ago, there was a young shepherd named David. He lived in a small village in Israel. David was brave and strong.

Far away, there was a giant named Goliath. He was part of the Philistine army. Goliath wanted to fight against the people of Israel.

Every day, Goliath shouted loudly. He challenged anyone to fight him. But everyone was too scared.

David heard about Goliath. He decided to face the giant. David believed he could win with his sling.

David went to the battlefield. He saw Goliath, who was very big and tall. But David did not feel afraid.

Goliath laughed when he saw the young shepherd. 'Are you coming to fight me?' he asked. David nodded bravely.

David picked five smooth stones. He put one stone in his sling. He swung it and aimed well.

The stone flew through the air. It hit Goliath on the forehead. The giant fell with a loud thud.

Everyone was amazed. David had won! He showed that courage and faith are stronger than size.

The people of Israel cheered. They celebrated David's bravery. He became a hero in his village.
