The Weather
Dr. Maya Storm is a weather scientist. She studies the sky every day. She helps people know what the weather will be.
Sam loves to learn about weather. Sam asks Dr. Maya many questions. Dr. Maya is happy to teach Sam.
The sun makes our days warm and bright. The sun heats the air and the ground. Without the sun, Earth would be very cold.
Clouds are made of tiny water drops. The drops float high in the sky. When clouds get heavy, rain falls down.
Rain gives water to plants and animals. Rain fills rivers and lakes. We need rain to live.
Dr. Maya uses special tools to study weather. She has computers and cameras. She looks at pictures from space.
Sam now knows a lot about weather. Sam watches the clouds and feels the wind. Sam wants to be a weather scientist too.
