the origamy parot

On a bright, sunny island, there lived a colorful parrot named Polly. Her feathers were red, green, and blue, like a rainbow in the sky.

Polly loved to talk, squawk, and giggle. Every morning she flew over the sand, looking for friends to play with.

One day, Polly saw a shy little crab hiding behind a rock. 'Click-clack, tap-tap! Come out and play!' Polly sang.

The crab peeked out and wiggled his tiny claws. Polly flapped her wings and did a silly dance, making the crab laugh.

Next, Polly swooped to a tall palm tree where a sleepy monkey hung from a branch. 'Wake up, Silly Monkey!' she called. 'It’s fun o’clock!'

The monkey yawned, then grinned. Polly puffed up her feathers and pretended to be a big, round coconut, and they both burst into giggles.

Down by the water, Polly met a sea turtle splashing in the waves. 'Race you to the big rock!' Polly squawked.

The turtle swam while Polly flew above, cheering, 'Go, go, go, turtle!' They reached the rock at the very same time and shouted, 'Tie!'

As the sun went down, all the animals sat in a circle on the warm sand. Polly told silly jokes and made funny faces.

The island glowed golden, and everyone laughed together. Polly the parrot knew the island was happiest when all the animals had fun as friends.
